Audience Research Conclusions:
From our research we have found that the majority of people would like a preview of the storyline combined with snippets of the main action scenes. We have also concluded that modern hip-hop is the most popular genre but we have decided, as a group, that the rock genre will dominate our soundtrack since it will fit the plot of our trailer and our editing and shot pace will match the speed of the music; however we will make sure to include some modern hip-hop tracks to please our audience. The majority of our audience has requested us too feature the protagonist's background which will create a influential and meaningful trailer.

The genre of our trailer is action drama. We have chosen to have a hybrid genre film to make our trailer both interesting and exciting. We will follow the conventions of movie railers by including small snippets of exciting scenes to engage the viewer and to persuade them to watch the final film. However, we will mix our trailer with both action filled scenes and dramatic scenes which is quite unusual which may interest viewers more than the usual regular film.
Audience:
Our film trailer is aimed at teenagers and young adults, both male and female, and people who are interested in action, drama and mystery films. This is because it fits into the action drama genre which is very popular with younger audiences. We will make sure to feature plenty of intense and fast paced action shots with meaningful drama scenes that create a believable story line to get the viewer excited but also make the viewer part of the storyline so that they share feelings and emotions with the characters.
Representation:
Our trailer will represent the protagonist as a depressed and broken alcoholic at the start but will slowly show his progression towards being a professional and skilled hitman. We will use the stereotypical representations of a hitman by making the character emotionless and introverted. We will represent our antagonist as a cold-hearted businessman that is greedy about money and will do anything in his power to obtain it.
Institution:
We will distribute posters and mini action figures as part of our merchandise which will be released a month before the film is premiered as a way to advertise and build tension for the film's reveal. We will also post our trailer on youtube as it is free to access and reaches a wide audience especially as our trailer is aimed at a younger audience. On youtube you can request adverts on specific videos helping to aim your promotion directly to the target audience. We will place our advert on action/drama film trailers to attract our specific audience. Synergy will be created across our products by creating a cohesive colour scheme and by using similar images and visual effects. For our text we will use the same font style and logo as well as implementing our tagline. This will help our audience to instantly recognise our products.
